As the world waits with bated breath for Baby Sussex, Prince Harry has made a solo appearance in London, as reports emerge the couple plans to take the newest royal to Africa.

Prince Harry has made his second public appearance in less than a week creating more intrigue about the much anticipated birth of his child with wife Meghan, which was expected any day now.

Despite his royal calendar being cleared of engagements in the lead up to the Duchess of Sussex’s due date, he appeared at the London Marathon to hand out medals to winners on Sunday.

The royal household announced Prince Harry would “meet volunteers, watch some of the runners and present medals to the London Marathon and Wheelchair winners, including the World Para Athletics World Champion Marathon”.

In a video posted before the marathon — which he has attended for the past two years — he thanked those who were participating in the ‘tough’ event for the Heads Together Campaign he started with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

“It is vital that we continue to smash the stigma surrounding mental health and get more people talking about it,” the Duke of Sussex said.

“So thank you for choosing Heads Together and good luck.”

Prince Harry also made an appearance at an afternoon Anzac Day ceremony at Westminster Abbey with the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke of Gloucester.

The Sussexes announced their pregnancy in October last year before the couple toured New Zealand which means the Duchess is due in late April or early May.

Keen royal watchers were sent into a frenzy on Friday when an ambulance was spotted parked near Frogmore Cottage where Harry and Meghan live, but an ambulance spokesman confirmed it was just a training vehicle.

MEGHAN, HARRY’S AFRICAN PLANS

It comes as Meghan and Harry have already have plans to take him or her to Africa.

The Sunday Times yesterday reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning a trip with Baby Sussex in October — at the tender age of six months.

The baby, who the world is waiting expectantly for, would be the youngest royal to ever go on tour.

“They hope to take the baby with them but will make a decision nearer the time. Potentially, Meghan and the baby could do some, if not all, of the trip,” a royal source told The Sunday Times.

It was revealed last week that Meghan and Harry have been planning to spend several months a year in Africa to support their humanitarian work and extend the reach of the Royal family.

The move would be another break from tradition as Meghan brings in a fresh look at the way the royal households work.

Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland arrived in England last week, prompting speculation the birth was imminent.

Harry attended Anzac Day services in London without his pregnant wife, who has not been seen in public for several weeks.

The couple will keep details of the birth private and release a photograph of the baby after the birth.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes are so “confident” Meghan will have her baby at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, they closed bets yesterday on where she will give birth.

“We know the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are keeping things private but we’re confident Meghan will give birth at home and have suspending betting as a result,” Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told the Sun.

The odds are now indicating the royal baby announcement will arrive in May.
