The stars of the highly anticipated Australian drama High Country attended the world premiere of the new series in Melbourne Wednesday night.
Leading the way was beloved Aussie actress Leah Purcell, who takes on the lead role in the original BINGE series, which premieres on the platform on March 19. She is also an executive producer on the series.
“Tonight is the High Country premier in Naarm / Melbourne,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, referring to the Woi-wurrung word for the Melbourne region.
“Not long now people … March 19 on @binge. Keep an eye on my stories for more BTS action with the cast and crew!”
Purcell walked the green carpet at the venue with her co-stars Sara Wiseman and Aaron Pedersen.

They were joined by fellow cast members including Henry Nixon, Linda Cropper and Michael Logo, Leah Vandenberg, Matt Domingo and Lana Greenhalgh.
They were also joined by executive director for Binge, Alison Hurbert-Burns and producer Penny Win.
High Country is an eight-part mystery thriller in which Purcell assumes the role of Detective Andrea “Andie” Whitford, who is transferred to the Victorian High Country to solve a baffling mystery involving five missing people who have vanished without a trace in the wilderness.
Purcell’s on-screen partner is played by Wiseman, and their relationship begins to strain as Andie takes on the all-consuming, high-stakes investigation, where she soon uncovers a complex web involving murder, deceit and revenge in the small town.
Production on the series began in April last year in the regional Victorian town of Jamieson.
This sleepy town around three hours’ drive from Melbourne CBD is rarely captured on-screen and sets the perfect backdrop for edge-of-your-seat adventure, intrigue and murder.
High Country premieres Tuesday, March 19 on BINGE and Tuesday, March 19 on Showcase at 8.30pm and available On Demand.
