High Country is an eight-part mystery thriller in which Purcell assumes the role of Detective Andrea “Andie” Whitford, who is transferred to the Victorian High Country to solve a baffling mystery involving five missing people who have vanished without a trace in the wilderness.

Purcell’s on-screen partner is played by Wiseman, and their relationship begins to strain as Andie takes on the all-consuming, high-stakes investigation, where she soon uncovers a complex web involving murder, deceit and revenge in the small town.

Production on the series began in April last year in the regional Victorian town of Jamieson.

This sleepy town around three hours’ drive from Melbourne CBD is rarely captured on-screen and sets the perfect backdrop for edge-of-your-seat adventure, intrigue and murder.

High Country premieres Tuesday, March 19 on BINGE and Tuesday, March 19 on Showcase at 8.30pm and available On Demand.
