The Spanish magazine which published photos of Prince Frederik of Denmark and Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova together in Madrid has claimed it has a “timeline” of the duo’s night out.

Ms Casanova has strenuously denied “malicious” rumours she and Prince Frederik are romantically involved with the magazine Lecturas reporting the royal father-of-four visited the socialite’s apartment on October 25 after attending a Picasso exhibition together.

The magazine has alleged that the heir to the Danish throne, who has been married to Australian-born Princess Mary of Denmark since 2004, had dinner with Ms Casanova at El Corral de la Moreria that night, with the pair not leaving the restaurant until 1am.

The timeline comes as Lecturas editor, Luis Pliego, claimed on Spanish TV station Telecinco, that Prince Frederik “came in secret” to Madrid.

Meanwhile, the royal couple have put on a united front as they promoted a charity run on Instagram

The duo shared a video encouraging Danes to sign up to their charity Royal Run.

Ms Casanova later told Hola! magazine there was nothing romantic happening between her and Prince Frederik, and vehemently denied any allegations of infidelity.

“I categorically deny the statements that suggest a romantic relationship between Prince Frederik and me,” Ms Casanova told the outlet.

“Any statement of this type not only completely lacks the truth but also misrepresents the facts in a malicious manner. This is already in the hands of my lawyers, who will take care of the pertinent steps to protect my right to honour, truth and privacy.”
