‘Overwhelmed’: Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck defy critics

Jennifer Lopez revealed never-before-seen wedding photos to mark their first anniversary of Bennifer 2.0, teasing a new ‘Dear Ben’ song.

Jennifer Lopez has been left “overwhelmed” after she and her husband Ben Affleck defied predictions of marital doom to celebrate their first anniversary.

Teasing a new “Dear Ben” song, J-Lo shared never-before-seen wedding photos to mark the first year of the second coming of Bennifer.

The new and improved Bennifer 2.0 were married in the US state of Georgia last year, 20 years after they were first engaged in 2002.

The pair split in 2004 amid intense tabloid scrutiny of the A-list couple.

But reunited after J-Lo’s divorce from her third husband, A-Rod, and Ben’s separation from the other, other Bennifer pairing with Jennifer Garner.

“Dear Ben, Sitting here alone. Looking at my ring ring. Feeling overwhelmed. It makes me wanna sing sing,” she said in the post, with the “DearBenPartII” hashtag.

“How did we end up here. Without a rewind. Oh my. This is my life …”

Dear Ben (part I), was the 2002 song recorded for Lopez’s third studio album, This is Me … Then, which was dedicated to her then-lover.

“I love you, you’re perfect. A manifestation of my dreams

You make my body feel. About a million different things. There’s no way I’d leave you,” she sang in the first version of the song.

They left each other the following year.

After their unlikely reunion two decades later, Lopez’s lesser-known ex-husband predicted they would break up again.

Ojani Noa, 48, said that he was also once the man J-Lo wanted to spend her life with, but added with a shrug that “was three husbands and five engagements ago”.

“I wish her and Ben the best, but I’m not convinced it will last,” Ojani told The Daily Mail.” Jen loves being in love but she’s been engaged six times. Ben is husband number four.”

After Noa, she married singer Marc Anthony, with who she shares two children, and baseball star Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez before adding an Affleck-shaped notch to her belt.

“I was husband number one and she told me I was the love of her life. When we lay in bed on our wedding night, she said we would be together forever.”

Dear Ben Part II is set to be released on Lopez’s next studio album, This is Me … Now, due to be released later this year.
