Hammer’s life came crashing down in February 2021 when his ex-girlfriend Effie Angelova accused him of “mentally, emotionally and sexually” abusing her during their four-year affair in 2017.

At the time, the Death on the Nile star denied the accusations and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office didn’t press charges.

Later that year, Hammer’s ex-girlfriend Courtney Vucekovich told Page Six he allegedly told her “he wants to break my rib and barbecue and eat it.”

He later shut down the accusations during an appearance on the Painful Lessonspodcast in June 2024.

Amid the scandal, Hammer was also dealing with his divorce from ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers. The TV personality filed for divorce in July 2020. The exes share daughter, Harper Grace, 9, and son, 7, Ford.
