Colleagues of former The Project host Carrie Bickmore appear to have picked sides after her high profile break up with Chris Walker.

Host of the Channel 10 program, Waleed Aly, was seen buddying up with Walker at an AFL game on Sunday.

Aly, who once sat next to Bickmore on The Project’s panel, was all smiles with Bickmore’s ex, as Walker took to Instagram posting a photo of the two men in the grandstands wearing Richmond Tigers merchandise.

Walker captioned the Instagram, “Second best Tigers date after Evie” which is believed to refer to the birth of his eight-year-old daughter Evie.

Aly is seemingly not alone in his backing of the TV producer as former The Project host Peter Helliar was also seen grinning with Walker in an Instagram post which referred to him as a “top lad”.

Helliar was seen in his post hand-in-hand with Walker and accompanied by former cricketer Adam Gilchrist, ABC presenter Leigh Sales and radio host Anthony Lehmann.

The photo, which was posted in January 2023, was captioned “Enjoying being an honorary bloke for the arvo with these top lads”.

The couple split in January after an 11-year relationship that saw them co-parenting three children.

Bickmore spoke publicly on the split and that the pair was focused on co-parenting their children.

“It’s with immense sadness that Chris and I have decided to separate,” she said.

“While this is a tough time, our focus is on parenting, loving and supporting our three children Ollie, Evie and Addie with everything that we’ve got.”

“They are doing great. We won’t be making any further comment.”

They two originally started their relationship as colleagues on The Project – Bickmore a presenter and Walker a producer. The pair began dating in 2012.

The relationship started two years after Bickmore tragically lost her first husband – Greg Lange – to brain cancer who was also the father to her oldest child. Bickmore would go on to start the charity Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer in his memory.

Walker became a stepfather to Oliver after marrying Bickmore and they later had two more children - Evie, born in 2015, and Adelaide, born in 2018.

Since her separation from Walker, Bickmore has grown close to her Hit Network co-host Tommy Little.

Little has supported Bickmore, rushing to her side in January when she confirmed her split from Walker.

Their professional relationship began in 2016 when the stand-up comedian joined Bickmore on the panel of The Project.

Little has reportedly split from his girlfriend, Natalie Kyriacou, after a year of dating.
