Pregnant Megan Gale poses nude in revealing cover shoot for Marie Claire

SEEMS you can’t be a pregnant celebrity nowadays until you’ve shown off your baby bump on the cover of a magazine. Which Aussie celeb has joined the club?

Megan Gale has joined the long list of celebrities to pose nude for a magazine cover while pregnant, baring all in the latest issue of Marie Claire.

The supermodel looks stunning on the cover of the April issue of Marie Claire, on sale tomorrow. Inside, she tells Jackie Frank it has been difficult adjusting to her growing baby bump.

“Look, when you’re pregnant, it’s hard. I would be a liar if I didn’t say there weren’t moments where you are looking at your butt going, “Wow! That’s quite the booty I’m getting there,” and there is not much you can do about it. Pregnancy does transform your body in some incredible ways that you might like and some that are not ideal. It’s easier said than done, but you have to let the ego go, let the vanity go,” she said.

At almost 32 weeks, Gale is nearing her due date. The 38-year-old said that before falling pregnant, she’d long been frustrated by interviewers asking when she was planning on having children.

“The reason I have a problem with it is because, one, it’s super-personal, but two, you don’t know what any woman’s journey is. You don’t know whether she’s been trying for five years and can’t. You don’t know if she is being told by a doctor, “I’m sorry — you’ll never have children.” You don’t know if someone has just had a miscarriage. Or they might be going through IVF, which I’m told is very traumatic. So people need to treat it with a little bit of sensitivity,” she said.

With her stunning Marie Claire cover, Gale treads a well-worn path in baring all for a magazine cover while pregnant. Demi Moore’s 1991 Vanity Fair cover is perhaps the most famous example, and in recent years celebs including Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and Claudia Schiffer have all followed suit:
