Jennifer Lawrence slammed as ‘annoying’ and ‘too crass’

JENNIFER Lawrence has a legion of dedicated fans, but a fellow actress is not among them, and she wasn’t afraid to let rip in a recent interview.

JENNIFER Lawrence has a legion of dedicated fans, but Chloe Sevigny is not among them.

The US actress and former model slammed the popular Hunger Games star in an interview with V magazine’s spring issue, labelling her “annoying” and “crass”.

The 40-year-old fashion designer and “It girl” of the early 90s was meant to be promoting her upcoming book, but the conversation soon shifted to her view on one of America’s sweethearts.

Sevigny said she admired two specific actresses who have hit the big time. “I love when a movie star is a great movie star. I think Angelina Jolie is a great movie star,” she said.

“I don’t think I can be that, or just be an actor. I don’t think I have the charisma. Which is probably why I never reached another level. I like Emma Stone. Whenever she’s herself, she’s really cute.

“Jennifer Lawrence I find annoying. Too crass.”

The American Horror Story actress was discussing what it’s like to be an actor with a big personality in Hollywood when she let rip on J-Law, admitting she’s “afraid that maybe people think there’s more personality than acting ability. I would like to be respected as an actress.”

Sevigny continued: “It’s not like I can complain about anything. I think I’ve had great opportunities, but you can always have more. I understand star quality, how much value it carries. I don’t think I have charisma. Which is probably why I never reached another level.”
