Australian country music legend Troy Cassar-Daley has taken to social media to shed light on a health scare for TV presenter wife Laurel Edwards in the midst of a whirlwind national tour.
Cassar-Daley, 55, is currently performing a string of sold out shows on the state’s North Coast as part of his national ‘Between the Fires Tour’, writing on Facebook from Coffs Harbour on Saturday: “To quote the great band Cold Chisel, I’m missing a girl”.
“Good evening all, I know it’s early in the tour, but I’m missing Laurel tonight getting ready for our show in Coffs Harbour,” he wrote.
“She has been in hospital for a couple of days last week removing some lumps and bumps that needed to be checked on but thankfully nothing nasty. Just a precaution.”
Cassar-Daley added that Ms Edwards’ “beautiful mum Dell is taking care of her as she rests up and of course the fur babies are there for her as well”.
“She had some time off work from radio just to make sure everything was clear but so far so good,” he wrote.
In the post, Cassar-Daley shared some old photos of the couple with a caption reading: “Two kids at a road stop. Itchy feet and young. Gotta keep moving on! Miss you Laurel.”
Ms Edwards is currently a breakfast announcer on 4BC and a presenter on Seven Network’s Weekender.
