From silly costumes to picking up phones, Australia’s greatest showbiz and sporting stars took to the office as brokers for the 32nd annual ICAP Charity Day on Wednesday.
Every year the world’s biggest stars join ICAP in the office, with the company donating 100 per cent of its revenue to support over 100 charities worldwide, including 12 in Australia.
The day saw The Real Housewives of Sydney star Krissy Marsh pick up the phone on behalf of Ronald McDonald House.
“As a proud ambassador of this amazing cause and having met many of the families of sick and injured kids staying there,” Marsh told Confidential.
“I know for a fact the money raised from this brilliant day will have such an enormous impact on so many going through the hardest times imaginable.
“Having been a broker in the early 90s I know how hard these guys work. I really enjoyed getting back on the floor and completing some trades with Harry Garside.”
Marsh was joined by Australian actor and Gold Logie winner x 4 Lisa McCune, Aussie boxer Harry Garside, Phil Burton from Human Nature and other big names in Sydney’s CBD.
Over the years, Hollywood stars Matthew McConaughey, Katherine Heigl, Chris Hemsworth, Drew Barrymore, and Reese Witherspoon have also supported the event.
Since its inception in 1993, ICAP Charity Day has raised more than $300 million, funding over 3,000 charitable causes around the world and directly supporting more than 7.7 million people.
