John Singleton’s latest relationship is apparently hurtling along at a cracking pace, with the larrikin businessman and his new lady friend already house hunting, writes Annette Sharp.

John Singleton’s latest relationship is evidently reeling along at a cracking pace, even by Singo’s standards.

This column has learned Singo and his latest attentive girlfriend, Coast FM station manager Sarah Warry — who, or so the fine folk of Gosford inform me, is less than half 81-year-old Singo’s age — have started house hunting together on the Central Coast.

Capturing the couple’s attention is a huge “epic proportioned” spread at Holgate, which the pair inspected a fortnight ago.

The eight bedroom, four-bathroom original Tuscan-style home is set on 2ha of “picturesque and peaceful … green fields” in the Holgate dress circle.

There’s enough land to “ride a horse”, states the realestate.com ad, with stables, two fenced paddocks, a machinery shed and parking for six cars adding extra appeal to horse lover and Mt White refugee Singo.

The property Singleton and Warry are rumoured to be eyeing off.

The ripe-for-a-reno property also boasts a swimming pool, spa and full-sized tennis court with adjoining clubhouse.

There’s even a studio/granny flat for Singo’s tag-a-long model-turned-personal decorator Michelle Leslie, who recently became a first-time mother but is yet to take our call to confirm the identity of the baby’s father.

Locals estimate the Holgate property will sell for about $3.5m — small change for Singleton, whose personal fortune was this year put at $820m.

The Holgate property last changed hands in 1999 for $645,000 and has been home to a local artist.

Singleton is understood to have entrusted mother-of-two Warry, who split with her de facto tradesman husband before Christmas, with signing off on the acquisition.

Neither Singleton nor Warry could be reached for comment.
