Anh Do’s son Xavier Do signed by Chadwick’s Model agency
Anh Do wears many hats — painter, author and TV celebrity — but soon he may be known as Xavier Do’s dad, after his eldest child kicked off a modelling career.

When a friend told Xavier Do he should give modelling a go, the 18-year-old son of painter and TV personality Anh Do asked his mum to take his photograph.
“My mum is actually a really cool photographer,” he told The Sunday Telegraph.
It worked, because Chadwick’s Models signed Do last month and he’s just done his first test shoot, which already has people talking.
“To be honest, modelling was never a life goal or anything — I was just chatting to some friends one day, and they said you should try modelling, you’d be good at it.
“So I did and I got in and I’m super excited.”
The eldest of four Do kids, Xavier is in his first year of a double degree at the University of Wollongong, studying music and communications.
He’s glad last year’s Covid-complicated HSC is over and real life has begun – wherever that takes him. And his mum and dad couldn’t be prouder.
“Dad’s great — he’s happy with whatever I decide to do in the future and they support me all the way,” he said.
“I do a bit of drawing here and there, but I’m more into music — I love to play guitar and sing, and that’s definitely something I’m really trying to get into.
“My family has no experience with modelling –—my dad was an actor, which is the closest thing to it, but they didn’t really have much input.
“I’m really happy with the results.”
And no, his face has not yet been painted by his famous father.
“My dad likes to paint older people, he says they have more interesting faces, and all the wrinkles and stuff as you get older gives you something to paint.”
Chadwick’s managing director Martin Walsh said Xavier had a presence, with a great look.
“He’s such a lovely guy,” Walsh said.
“And he has a really great look, but sometimes we’ll have a look that doesn’t always translate on the film, so we were actually really pleasantly surprised to get the test back which was so strong.
“I think he’ll do really well.”
