Sky News Australia launches new digital streaming app, allowing 24/7 access to news and information
The 24-hour news channel has officially rolled out its new streaming app giving access to prime time shows, news, documentaries and information.

Australians will have access to Sky News Australia’s key prime time opinion programs, breaking news and original documentaries via its new streaming app from Monday.
The subscription TV streaming service will enable viewers to watch the channel’s 24-hour, seven-day live programming via the new offering.
Sky News Australia chief executive Paul Whittaker said the creation of the app followed the channel’s significant growth in recent years.
“We’ve seen exceptional growth across our digital platforms over the past few years as more than eight million Australians seek out our content online each month, while across broadcast platforms we continue to bring Australians a premium viewing experience,” Mr Whittaker said.
“The streaming subscription provides a new way for visitors to our website and app to stream our live breaking news and award-winning political coverage, original documentaries, and top-rating opinion shows across four news channels.
“Subscribers will be able to stream their favourite Sky News channel shows live and in full, as well as on demand shortly after the live broadcast.”
The app will offer access to Sky’s nightly programs led by hosts Peta Credlin, Andrew Bolt, Paul Murray, Sharri Markson, Chris Kenny and many others, as well as other key shows including Outsiders, led by Rowan Dean, Rita Panahi and James Morrow.
Credlin and Kenny are also columnists for The Australian and The Weekend Australian.
The service is available for $5 per month.
Sky News Australia is owned by News Corp Australia, publisher of The Australian.
Subscribers will also receive access to the channel’s new afternoon newsletter, Primetime Briefing, which provides daily information on the biggest interviews and stories coming up on the channel’s evening line-up.
