Sergeant Nadine Webster marks career milestone

She may not be big on praise or awards, but Sergeant Nadine Webster has been recognised for an incredible 20 years of working with Crime Stoppers in Ipswich.
A police officer for almost 30 years, Nadine is often out in the community, organising fundraisers, running sausage sizzles and working with students.
Nadine’s family, friends and colleagues told us how special she is, as they congratulated her on her milestone.

If she’s not putting a sausage on a bit of bread one day, she’ll be talking to seniors groups about driver education another day. She has been with Crime Stoppers for 20 years and with her commitment she will be with us for another 20.

I’m obviously very proud of her, I know how hard she works. Her main drive is to improve the community and she’s done that through her whole service. She’s got rotary awards, and so many different awards … But she doesn’t do it for the awards. She does it for the love of the job.
Ipswich Crime Prevention Unit’s senior constable Kerrin Sheedy thinks the world of Nadine and agreed with Leon she was not one to do things for praise.
Detective Acting Inspector Heath McQueen said Nadine was an asset to the Queensland police and her tenacity and enthusiasm had delivered countless successful outcomes for the  community.
