Teens charged after luxury car theft
Two boys - aged 16 and 17 - have been charged after allegedly stealing cars from the Gold Coast and trying to evade police when they were tracked down north of Brisbane.

Two teenage boys have been charged after allegedly leading police on a wild chase where they jumped from stolen vehicle to stolen vehicle.
Police allege a Ford Mustang and a Toyota Camry were stolen from an address on Cova Boulevard at Hope Island early on Monday.

The vehicles were spotted at Sargents Reserve at Eatons Hill, on Brisbane’s northside, last night.
Police then tracked the vehicles to Everton Hills where the Mustang was driven over a tyre deflation device and abandoned, with the driver jumping into the accompanying Toyota Camry.
The Camry was then driven to Strathpine, where it was also abandoned.
The pair then allegedly entered a third vehicle driven by a woman. All three were later found in Strathpine and arrested.
Police say a Mercedes SUV – also stolen from Hope Island – was located in a nearby creek.
A 17-year-old Strathpine boy has been charged with two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and receive tainted property along with burglary and failure to appear.
A 16-year-old boy from Eatons Hill has been charged with two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, receiving tainted property and possessing dangerous drugs.
He has also been charged with burglary and commit an indictable offence.
They are both expected to front the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court this month.
In a separate incident, six teens including one aged 13, were charged by police after allegedly rolling a stolen 4WD on the Gold Coast in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
