Police investigate as smouldering object found at Premier’s office
A police investigation has been launched after a smouldering object was found outside Annastacia Palaszczuk’s office. Police and fire crews were called to the scene.

A container of smouldering toilet roll has been found outside Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s electorate office, with police launching an investigation.
Police said a smouldering object, described as a bucket or container, was found on the ground outside Ms Palaszczuk’s electorate office on Farm St in Richlands just before 5.30am today.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) spokeswoman said one crew responded to “a small container of toilet roll smouldering,” after they received a call for help about 6.10am.
They were on scene for five minutes after a member of the public alerted authorities to the smoke.
The building was not damaged.
Ms Palaszczuk’s office has been contacted for comment.
Queensland Police are investigating.
