Police investigate after man dies in regional balcony fall

Police are investigating after a man plummeted to his death from a second-storey balcony overnight.

A man has died after he fell from a balcony of a Mt Isa home on Monday night.

Police investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the man’s death, after the man fell from the second story just after 8.40pm.

Paramedics and police crews attended the scene in Sunset, in Mt Isa’s northeast, where they assessed a man for critical injuries and later declared him deceased at the scene.

At this stage the circumstances of the man’s fall are still being determined, while police continue to follow all lines of inquiry.
