A man’s body has been found by tourists in bushland near Toowoomba, with the death being treated as suspicious.

A man’s body has been found in bushland near Toowoomba.
The body was located by tourists at Preston, between Toowoomba and the Lockyer Valley, in dense shrubbery shortly before 9am.
The body has been identified as a 28-year-old Toowoomba man.
A statement released by police said scientific officers were on scene.
“Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who may have information to come forward,” the statement said.
Police have set up an investigation centre in Gatton Police Station while detectives work to determine the cause of the man’s death.
The incident is being treated as suspicious.
