Gardening tool used as weapon in horror late night Gold Coast attack
A man was last night rushed to hospital after he was stabbed with a gardening tool in a sickening late night attack on the Gold Coast.

A gardening tool was allegedly used as a weapon during a horrifying attack on the Gold Coast overnight.
According to police, a man allegedly stabbed another man, who was known to him, in the back using a pair of secateurs outside a Coolangatta home.
Police say the 49-year-old man approached a 53-year-old man on Lord St at about 10.20pm, after he spotted the alleged victim walking along the road nearby his home.
A scuffle ensued on the street before the younger man took the pruning tool and allegedly forced it into the other man’s back.
The injured man was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital via ambulance with a critical care paramedic on board.
He was last night in a serious but stable condition with a significant wound to his back.
The 49-year-old Coolangatta man was charged with wounding and drug related offences.
He was granted bail at Coolangatta Watchhouse and is due to appear in Coolangatta Magistrates Court on March 1.
