Where to watch memorial Wieambilla shooting victims

Thousands of police officers and high ranking politicians will gather to honour and mourn Constables Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold tomorrow, with the event to be streamed across the state.

A mammoth memorial will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, for the Queensland police officers ambushed and murdered last week at Wiambilla.

The funeral service honouring Constables Matthew Arnold, 26, and Rachel McCrow, 29, will be held on December 21 at 10am (AEST) at the Boondall Entertainment Centre and publicly livestreamed.

The memorial service will be attended by dignitaries including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Federal Opposition Leader Peter Dutton, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Queensland Opposition Leader David Crisafulli.

The full police honours service will feature the Queensland Police Service’s dog unit, mounted unit, police motorcycles and will feature flyovers from both helicopters.

Both police helicopters were involved in the Wieambilla tragedy.

Constable Rachel McCrow and Constable Matthew Arnold are expected to receive commendations for brave conduct as part of the service.

A guard of honour will form around the complex and is expected to involve thousands of police

Queenslanders will be able to gather and share in the memorial at public live viewings across the state as Channel 9, 7 and ABC News 24 televise it from 9.30am.

King George Square will show the service from 10am as Brisbane crowds gather and mourn the slain officers.

The Rockhampton Queensland Police Memorial will show the service at Cameron’s Corner adjacent to Rockhampton Police Station while residents about The Alpha Town Hall will watch there from 9.45am.

Further north will see public viewings at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre from 9.20am and at the Bowen PCYC from 9:45am while the Townsville Stadium at Annandale will receive mourners from 9:30am.

South West the Dalby Events Centre, Chinchilla Country Hope Church, Tara Memorial Hall, Miles William Miles Hall will all show from 10am.

It will also be streamed on the Queensland Police Service Facebook page.
