The hunt is on for two fumbling thieves and their getaway driver, who used a stolen car to plough into police moments after stealing from a Brisbane grocery store.
The chaotic movements of the trio have been caught on camera, with police today releasing footage as they appeal for information from the April 19 incident.
Around 2.20am at Greenslopes, the two masked men forced entry through the front doors of the Logan Rd shopping centre, and then forced entry to the IGA inside the complex.
Frighteningly, the masked men would later run into a stolen Nissan Navara- waiting in the car park – and, seemingly, intentionally drive straight into a police car.
“The driver of the Nissan, then deliberately drove at the police car, before fleeing the scene,” a statement from Queensland Police said.
Those involved fled the scene, while the officers involved sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Police are appealing for anyone in the vicinity of Logan Road, near Chatsworth Road, between 2-3am on April 19 with CCTV or dashcam vision to contact police.
