A late-night Polair chase across Moreton Bay and North Brisbane districts culminated in the dramatic arrest of three teenagers on Friday night after they allegedly stole a vehicle from a Balmoral residence.
The incident began around 8.30pm on August 23, when Polair spotted a white Mazda CX-3 speeding through the suburbs, heading south.
The chase lasted several minutes before the vehicle abruptly stopped near Plaza Place in Carseldine, where the occupants attempted to flee on foot.
However, their escape was short-lived, as police quickly apprehended the trio nearby.
The vehicle had reportedly been stolen from a Balmoral home around 4.30pm on August 22.
The three males involved in the incident - a 17-year-old from Zillmere, a 16-year-old from Morayfield, and a 17-year-old from Booval - have all been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The Booval teen has also been charged with stealing.
All three are expected to appear before the Brisbane Children’s Court on August 24
