Former Olympian and radio host Susie O’Neill has fallen victim to a break-in of her Brisbane home in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police said a group of four men broke into the Indooroopilly house, before being interrupted by one of the home’s occupants.

“Initial investigations indicate four males have gained entry to the property just after 3am,” police said in a statement.

“The group has then stolen a set of car keys before they were interrupted by an occupant of the house.”
Police said the intruders left the scene in three getaway vehicles, two of which are believed to be stolen.

The vehicles are described as a dark-coloured BMW X5, a blue Mazda CX-9 and a white hatchback.

O’Neill did not mention the incident when she joined co-hosts Ash Bradnam and David “Luttsy” Lutterall on-air at 6am on Friday.

However as the trio discussed plans to celebrate O’Neill’s upcoming 50th birthday, she told her co-hosts she was distracted as she had to “work through a few things”.

“I woke up in a cold sweat this morning, put it that way,” she said, quickly attributing it to the milestone birthday.

Police are urging for anyone who might have information, CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
