Swim star and radio host Susie O’Neill has revealed she might want to sleep in separate beds from her husband Cliff Fairley moving forward.
During her Nova 106.9 radio show O’Neill said a lot of her friends were all in the same boat.
“Sleeping with their partners is becoming a little problematic because as guys get older it seems they are generally a bit noisier when they sleep as in they snore,” she said.
“I slept in the same room for 25 years now.
“Twenty-five years I’ve slept next to someone. Going forward I’m just not sure I can do that any more.
“I’ve heard people have actually separate bedrooms, like girls’ bedrooms and boys’ bedrooms.”
O’Neill said what the change was prompted by a really bad day when she was “cranky and sad”.
That night she decided to sleep in a separate bedroom to her husband.
“I went to bed before 8pm and I had clean sheets and I had my book and I had my little bedside light, and I had a fan,” she said.
“Anyway I had a really good sleep. I slept for eight hours, and I woke up feeling slightly less cranky.”
It follows Channel 7 personality Edwina Bartholomew revealing she and her husband had separate bedrooms.
