Police and paramedics were called to the Edward St hostel about 9.20pm, but Mr Armstrong-Reilly died at the scene.

Affectionately known by loved ones as ‘Shonny’, he was an aspiring artist who often shared his work online.

He went to Cloncurry State School, before moving to the Chinchilla/Dalby area with his father.

The 20-year-old leaves behind 16-month-old son, Zarrakai, who he described as his “everything”, and partner Tiarne.

“You and your son’s memories will never be forgotten,” Tiarne wrote on social media. “Miss you Shonny.”

A Go Fund Me account has been set up by his family to help pay for his funeral and already raised about $4000 of the $10,000 goal.

“His family has been left completely devastated. The money that’s raised will help cover Rashonn’s funeral costs,” his aunty Nikita Bunter wrote on the page.

“Any help no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated.”

School friends and family members have also shared their grief on social media, describing him as “precious”.

“You had such a warm smile, your personally (sic) was huge but your heart was bigger,” friend Sarah Feekings wrote.

“He was the most talented and warm-hearted boy,” Jennifer Hetherington wrote.

Police have confirmed Mr Armstrong-Reilly’s death was not being treated as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
