Police are investigating two separate fires that are believed to be suspicious that started within the same southwestern suburb of Brisbane in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called initially to reports of a fire at an address at Bamboo St, Inala, about 1.30am.
The fire was extinguished quickly, with only superficial damage to the structure.
Less than 30 minutes later, emergency services were called to a separate fire at Japonica St in the same suburb.

One person was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition from that property

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said the dwelling was well engulfed by fire on arrival. “The fire was about 10m by 15m,” she said. “It was under control by about 2.25am and completely out by 2.40am. “A fire investigator will be attending the scene this morning.” A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said early investigations suggested the two incidents were linked. “A crime scene has been established at both locations and investigations are ongoing,” the spokeswoman said.
