Scooter rider threatened with machete in Tarragindi robbery
Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred in Brisbane’s south overnight as the machete-wielding offenders remain on the run.

Police are investigating two armed robberies in Brisbane’s south overnight as the machete-wielding offenders remain on the run.
A 23-year-old man was travelling on an e-scooter on Marshall Rd through Tarragindi when he was stopped along Kuring Gai Ave shortly before midnight.
A silver vehicle pulled up behind him and the occupants exited the vehicle and approached the man, threatening him with a machete.
The man fled the scene on foot to a nearby service station and was not physically injured.
The group stole the man’s scooter and fled the scene in the two vehicles.
Later that night around 1.40am, a 29-year-old Rochedale man was travelling on a motorbike along Gardiner Road through Rochedale when the same silver vehicle pulled up next to him.
The occupants of the vehicle struck at him with a machete.
The man continued on towards a fast-food restaurant on Miles Platting Rd and the group followed him. They threatened the man and demanded his keys.
The man complied and the group stole his motorbike, leaving the scene in the two vehicles.
The man was not physically injured.
Police are appealing for anyone with CCTV or dashcam vision of either incident to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
