Police hunt Moreton motorbike hoons

Police are hunting a group of two-wheeled hoons whose antics in Moreton parks and bicycle tracks they claim is putting lives at risk.

They have received complaints of repeated incidents involving motorcyclists brazenly flouting the law, and public safety, at Rothwell, Deception Bay and Morayfield in recent months.

Moreton Police said they were investigating three matters where motorcycles were ridden illegally at Crestwood Avenue Parkland and bike paths at Morayfield.

And on July 2, at 4.51pm, police alleged a motorcyclist failed to stop when they tried to intercept him on Lipscombe Rd, Deception Bay.

The rider was seen allegedly riding at high speed against the flow of traffic, doing wheel stands and riding on the footpath. The bike is allegedly unregistered.
