Police have arrested and charged a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang with drug and firearm offences south of Brisbane.
Detectives from the Logan Major and Organised Crime Squad arrested the 31-year-old man on Thursday.
The Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang member was charged with several offences, including trafficking in dangerous drugs and unlawfully supplying firearms.
He will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow.
The arrest was a result of a joint investigation with the Hervey Bay Criminal Investigation Branch targeting members of outlaw motorcycle gangs attempting to establish a foothold in the Logan community.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Adam Baillie said the Logan Major and Organised Crime Squad was focused on disrupting bikies who wanted to push harm into the community.
“We work closely with the region to ensure we create opportunities to target their illicit activities in order to make the Logan community a safer place,” he said.
