Police have revealed additional details about the man who was killed in a horror crash at Bauple last week.
The crash happened on February 23 about 8.40pm on the Bruce Highway when a vehicle and a truck, which were travelling in opposite directions, collided.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
Police have now revealed the man was a 76-year-old from Roma.
The driver of the truck, a 28-year-old Ipswich man, was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
On February 24, another serious crash happened at Gunalda, just kilometres away from the fatal crash, leaving two men seriously injured.
A male in his 20s, initially entrapped with multiple injuries including a serious head injury, was transported by rescue helicopter in a critical condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The other male in his 20s suffered chest and abdominal injuries and was in a serious condition when he was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
A female in her 30s with back pain in a stable condition to Gympie Hospital.
