A Moreton Bay man has been charged after allegedly making multiple attempts to enter vehicles in the Deception Bay area on Monday while holding a machete.

In shocking footage from inside one of the cars, a man can be seen approaching the rear passenger-side door before pulling the handle repeatedly.

He then looks down the barrel of the lens while revealing the machete and tapping it on the window, before again attempting to open the locked rear door.

“Let me in,” he can be heard saying.

The shocked passenger tells the driver, “Go.”

“I can’t,” the driver responds before the man walks away crossing the road in front of a blue utility.

Police will allege shortly before 11am the man was walking down Deception Bay Rd in possession of a machete and attempted to enter a number of vehicles.

Police confronted him and he was taken into custody without incident.

A 21-year-old Bellara man has been charged with threatening violence, unlawful entry to motor vehicles and obstructing police.

He will appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court on December 14.
