A Brisbane man has been accused of raping a woman while in the Whitsundays last year.
Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday heard Joshua John Battison McCouat, of Kangaroo Point, was charged with rape on January 12 this year.
The rape allegedly occurred in Cannonvale on June 5, 2022.
Mr McCouat, 34, did not physically appear before the court.
His solicitor Nicholas Andrews, of Sans Law, asked for an adjournment of four weeks to process the evidence provided by the prosecution.
Acting magistrate Jennifer Batts granted the request after police prosecutor Sergeant Emma Myors agreed to the adjournment.
Mr McCouat remains on bail which was extended to the next mention date of November 27.
