Detectives have charged a woman with grievous bodily harm after an alleged incident involving an infant west of Brisbane.

Ipswich detectives have charged a Camira woman with the alleged grievous bodily harm of an infant last month.
The Ipswich Child Protection Investigation Unit allege the 29-year-old woman assaulted an infant who is known to her at a Camira address on the morning of March 7.
A police statement said the woman was arrested in the suburb of Ipswich without incident on Friday and charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.
Her arrest followed extensive inquiries with the assistance of specialist units attached to the Crime and Intelligence Command.
She was denied police bail and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday April 15.
