A notorious former Queensland bikie has been badly bashed in Victoria amid rising underworld tensions.

Jason Addison, the former Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang national president who was among several high-profile bikies booted from the Mongols in recent months, was seriously assaulted at a motorbike show in Knowsley near Heathcote last weekend.

Dramatic photos have emerged of a battered and bloodied Addison after the attack at the Knowsley-Barnadown Rd raceway.

Victorian police say the 57-year-old grandfather self-presented to hospital for what were believed to be serious injuries.

“At this stage it appears a targeted attack and parties are believed to be known to one another,” a police spokeswoman said.

Addison was kicked out of the Mongols in April along with fellow senior members Toby Mitchell, Mark Balsillie and Sam ‘The Punisher’ Abdulrahim in a major purge of the gang’s Melbourne chapter.

It came after Gold Coast-based national president Nick ‘The Knife’ Forbes returned to power following jail time and parole, reasserting authority with sergeant-at-arms Phil Main.

A Mongols source denied responsibility for the attack on Addison, and it’s not suggested Forbes or Main had anything to do with the attack.

“It wasn’t us,” he said.

“But whoever did it 100 per cent pumped him good.”

Mitchell and his allies were expelled from the Mongols for alleged disloyalty, accused of “running with dogs” (associating with police witnesses).

Mitchell also upset powerful crime figures last month when he tagged underworld heavies in a since-deleted Instagram post to his 365,000 Instagram followers.

A Melbourne underworld source said: “They (Mitchell and his allies) are all targets now.”

Police have appealed for witnesses to the attack on Addison, urging them to make a confidential report to Crime Stoppers.

It’s not known if he is co-operating with the police investigation.

Addison hails from Echuca on Victoria’s Murray River but was once president of the Bandidos’ Sunshine Coast chapter.

In 2015, he faced Maroochydoore Magistrates Court charged with extortion after a former Bandidos gang member was allegedly forced to hand over his Sunshine Coast marble business, his home and motorbike.

A jury in 2017 found Addison not guilty.
