Duaringa and Lockyer Waters men charged over Emerald ram raid, burglary

Two men accused of deliberately ramming a Central Queensland shopping centre and stealing multiple items have been arrested and charged, with one remanded in custody.
One of the men is also accused of being involved in another break-in with four c0-offenders involving the theft of a large safe.
Police allege the two men were in a stolen Toyota Landcruiser when it was deliberately driven through the front of a shop within a shopping centre at the intersection of Capricornia Highway and Codenwarra Road in Emerald about 1.50am on December 3, 2024.
They allegedly stole many items before fleeing on foot.
They will further alleged that one of the men - a Lockyer Waters man - is one of five people who forced entry into another business on Small Street in Emerald, between 9pm on July 27 and 1am on July 28 and stealing a large safe.
Police released CCTV of the midyear break-in on July 31, 2024, appealing for information about the offenders.
Two men have been charged and will face Emerald Magistrates Court this month.
The Lockyer Waters man, 38, has been charged with entering a premises with intent to commit indictable offence, entering a premises and committing an indictable offence by break, and stealing a motor vehicle.
A Duaringa man, 36, has been charged with entering a premises with intent to commit indictable offence, entering premises and committing indictable offence by break, stealing a motor vehicle, possessing/acquiring restricted items, and failing to take reasonable care and precautions in respect of the syringe or needle.
The Lockyer Waters man has been remanded in custody to appear before the Emerald Magistrates Court on March 11.
The Duaringa man is due to appear before the Emerald Magistrates Court on March 28.
