An Uber driver went on a rampage after being refused service at a southwest Brisbane licensed brothel, smashing a table and CCTV camera, a court has heard.

Sachin, who has only one name, pleaded guilty in Richlands Magistrates Court today (September 1) to one count each of wilful damage and public nuisance on July 27.

Police prosecutor, Sgt Adam McDonald, told the court Sachin shouted “I want pussy’’ after the Sky Angel owner refused him service because he was so drunk.

The owner talked him into walking out by offering him a cigarette.

But the enraged overseas student, 22, then punched the front door and used the leg of a small metal table to smash a security camera.

Sachin pleaded guilty to both charges.

His lawyer said Sachin was very drunk at the time.

“He’s very distressed, remorseful and ashamed for what he has done,’’ he said.

“He has family in India. He was very drunk that day.’’

He said Sachin, who was on a student visa, was due to complete a three-year advanced diploma in marketing management next month and wished to continue his studies.

Magistrate Stuart Shearer said, under Queensland law, Sky Angel was a legitimate business and as such its employees deserved to be treated with respect, regardless of their role.

“This sort of drunken idiocy, where you carry on like a drunken fool, is not going to be tolerated,’’ Mr Shearer said.

“I don’t think this will reflect well on your (next) visa application, but the Department of Immigration will make the appropriate decision.’’

Mr Shearer took into account Sachin’s lack of criminal history and early guilty pleas.

He convicted Sachin, but did not record the conviction, fined him $2000 and ordered he pay the brothel $747.98 compensation.
