Dramatic arrest of wanted man in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

A wanted man and a woman have been arrested by police in an inner city Brisbane suburb on Wednesday.

Police located the man and woman on outstanding matters on Ann Street in Fortitude Valley at around 11am.

It’s understood the man allegedly attempted to flee police, but was caught by officers outside a fast food restaurant.

Several police officers were seen carrying the man, who continued to resist arrest, and was dragged towards the back of the police wagon.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said both people remain in police custody and were transported to the watch house.
