Shocking vision of a customer performing a citizens arrest on a fellow shopper at one of Brisbane’s inner city stores has taken the internet by storm.
Police allege a 46-year-old man entered Culture Kings on Elizabeth St in Brisbane city just before 7pm on December 14 where he started allegedly harassing a woman at the premises.
Two other men attempt to confront the man before an altercation breaks out.
In the footage captured by one of the men, the 46-year-old can be heard saying, “don’t touch me bro” before he lashes out at the filmer.
Before police entered the store, the resident DJ humorously plays Sound of da Police by KRS-One to smug grins from other shoppers.
A QPS spokesman confirmed the man has since been charged with one count each of public nuisance and contravene police direction.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 11, 2024.
