Brisbane driver slams into tree; dies at scene

A Brisbane driver has died after the car they were driving hit a tree in the city’s north overnight.

A person has died after a car crash in Brisbane overnight.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Bracken Ridge Rd in Sandgate around 11.30pm, finding a car had hit a tree.

Firefighters freed one person from the car but that person died at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Investigations are continuing.
