Detectives are investigating if bikie associate Levi Johnson was murdered in a retribution killing after he was in a dispute with a group of men where a gun was pulled on them at a park.

The Courier-Mail has been told police are examining whether the incident at the park in Brisbane’s southeast sparked a retaliation that led to his alleged murder.

It is unclear what sparked the dispute.

Mr Johnson, 23, was brutally stabbed and left to die in a Mansfield street on Monday afternoon after being attacked by four men.

Police allege Mr Johnson – who was known by the Comancheros but not a patched member – was cornered by two vehicles in the carpark of Goodlife gym on Pine Mountain Drive and attacked in his car.

He escaped and ran across the road, but was followed by two of the men. He was stabbed multiple times and died at the scene.

Three men fled in a Nissan Patrol and the fourth man, Stuart Galloway, allegedly ran away and was arrested nearby.

Luke Moore was arrested in a raid on Wednesday morning while two other men, Kyle Martin, 24, and Thomas Myler, 35, remain on the run.

Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham said the men allegedly claimed to be a part of a little-known gang, 13 Kings.

Both Galloway and Moore have since been charged with murder and had their matters heard at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Outside court lawyers Andrew Owens, for Galloway, and Michael Gatenby, for Moore, said their clients would be contesting the charges.

“The difficulty we have at the moment is that the police have failed to identify what act or omission (Moore’s) done,” Mr Gatenby said.

“So we will need to get some further particulars but at the moment you wouldn’t have any idea what it is my client’s alleged to have done.”

Mr Gatenby said his client was not a member of the so-called 13 Kings gang.

“I don’t believe that any of the four men have claimed to be a member of that organisation. My client certainly doesn’t know what that assertion’s come from.”

Mr Gatenby indicated he would be applying for bail for Moore in the Supreme Court at a later date.

Police are still on the hunt for Myler and Martin after being unable to locate them during a raid at a Capalaba club house on Wednesday.

Superintendent Massingham urged the men, or anyone potentially harbouring them, to come forward.
