Footage has emerged of a group of masked people dancing outside of an inner-Brisbane house they had just allegedly broken into to steal two luxury cars.
James Antliff and Elise Alisson had their black BMW and grey Porsche 911 stolen from their Paddington home just before 2am today.
The couple and a seven-year-old child were fast asleep when the group of masked offenders broke into their home.
Ms Allison became aware of what had transpired after waking up to the sound of the family’s dog crying.
“We were woken up by our dog crying and went out to find that someone had been in the house and that both of our cars were gone,” Ms Allison said.
“We’ve had a look back through our cameras and it shows a group of young boys or men driving up to our house.
“They’ve come in, they’ve jumped over the fence, they’ve jumped back into the car to find something to break in through the door.
“They got through one of our doors, found my handbag which had the car keys, and they’ve subsequently driven off in both of our cars.
“They even had the audacity to do a bit of a happy dance and they’re filming on their phones – they’re very excited about getting the cars.”
Ms Allison said she found the incident “incredibly unsettling”.
“We had my seven-year-old stepson here and I’m pregnant, so both me and my partner feel quite shaken up about it.”
Ms Allison went onto reveal that it was not the first time they had been targeted amid Queensland’s youth crime crisis.
“This is our fourth break-in in two years,” she said.
“We’ve actually got every security device known to man, we’ve spent $15,000 upgrading our security since the first break in and it’s still happening.
“These young offenders keep doing it because they don’t get any proper punishment.
“If those on surrounding streets have any CCTV please share so we can share with the police.”
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police have commenced investigations into the incident.
“Police are investigating following a break and enter in Paddington this morning,” the spokesman said.
“A Porsche and BMW were stolen from a Tooth Ave address around 2am,” the spokesman said.
“The BMW was located around 7am in Stafford Heights.
“Investigations are continuing.”
