A man was rushed to hospital in a serious condition after his car crashed into a home south of Brisbane on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to a crash at Drews Rd, Loganholme just after 3.30am, after reports a car had crashed into a house.
It is understood that no one was in the house at the time of the crash, with the owners reportedly travelling around Australia.
Jordan Bravery of Collision Towing and Recovery Services said it was a confronting scene.
“The car had gone through three or four sets of fences, ploughed through and hit the house,” Mr Bravery said.
“It was one of the worst crashes I’ve been to for a while.”
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesman said crews worked to remove the car from the home.
“The primary job of crews was to extricate the vehicle from the home,” the spokesman said.
“It took them about half an hour to do that.
“The house was assessed to be structurally sound following the crash.”
According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, a man in his 20s was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition following the crash.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said a driver is assisting police with enquiries.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
