It started on a freezing cold morning and ended with the final match played under lights.
The spotlight was thrown on the best young girls and boys rugby talent in the state at the NSW Juniors City v Country championships at Bathurst.
And they didn’t disappoint.

There were fabulous matches, tight finishes, bone jarring tackles, upsets and a thriller or two on the weekend.
And while City went in as favourites almost across the board they found their match in Country in a number of fantastic battles.
Country - made up of players from across the state and in some case hundred of kilometres away from each other - stole the spotlight in three great matches to the raucous delight of the large crowds of family and fans who flocked to Bathurst to watch the games and the next generation of our rugby guns.
