Queensland is licking its wounds after being thumped 38 to 6 in Origin II, setting up the decider on NSW's turf.
It was a dominant performance from the Blues, with Tom Trbojevic scoring three tries and Josh Addo-Carr two as the Maroons had no answers in defence.
Peter Badel writes in his match report that "Queensland made just 989 running metres to NSW’s 1736 in a centre-field disaster" but that statistically, "history suggests the Maroons can hit back. In the past two deciders held at Homebush, the Maroons have won both, first in 2008 and then in 2013 during coach Mal Meninga’s glorious 10-year reign".
