Former rugby league player Jarryd Hayne is back training.

Renowned sprint coach Roger Fabri on Tuesday posted footage on Instagram of Hayne running, suggesting the ex-Eels fullback could be on the comeback to professional sport.

“You thought it was over!!! You don’t even know what Jarryd Hayne is going to do,” Fabri wrote in his post.

The footage comes almost two months after Hayne walked out of jail, having a sexual assault conviction quashed by the Court of Criminal Appeal.

Hayne is 36 years old and last played in the NRL in September, 2018.

Former Eels teammate Justin Horo was among the first to throw his support behind the potential comeback of a player once dubbed ‘Hayne Plane’.

“Cabin crew, fasten your seatbelts and prepare for takeoff’,” he wrote.

Hayne was thankful for his supporters when the rape charges against him were dropped.

“I stayed true to myself the whole time, this whole process,” Hayne said as he left Downing Centre court.

“I just want to say thank you to all those that supported me from day one and stood by me, stood next to me.

“The boys on the inside that stood by me, mates on the outside and everyone that stood shoulder to shoulder with me.”

Fabri has previously helped the likes of Bronson Xerri and Michael Jennings make successful returns to the NRL after serving doping bans.

Manly speedster Jason Saab has also spent time training under Fabri.

Xerri, who is now 23, is now a first-choice selection for the Bulldogs this year after spending four years out of the game for testing positive to anabolic steroids.

Jennings, who at 36 is the oldest player in the NRL, has played eight games for the Sydney Roosters this season after serving a three-year ban for also testing positive to performance-enhancing drugs.
