Analysis: Breaking down how every Super Netball club fared during the trade period
The Super Netball free agency period has officially closed, and has delivered in a big way. Code Sports breaks down how every team will look heading into the next season.
The trade period is officially over, with all eight Super Netball clubs emerging stronger after one of the most robust signing periods in recent memory.
Outside of a full Collective Player Agreement changeover - which will happen again at the end of next season with every player in the league off contract at once - the 2025 free agency period has delivered a galaxy of new stars for the league.
Nine new internationals - eight Kiwis and a South African, as well as the return of the Diamonds’ own Donnell Wallam - have signed on, with every club returning stronger than last season.
There were no losers in the trade period. But the Swifts will lose Paige Hadley, for a very good reason, as she and her partner are expecting their first child, which was confirmed just as the trade period closed.
Even those clubs that did not have much change are likely to be stronger given they will welcome back current internationals and veterans with Diamonds experience from leave.
Code Sports takes a comprehensive look at each club’s recruitment and their line-ups for 2025.
The ratings represent the moves made during the trade period - and only additions or losses, rather than re-signings - and are not necessarily reflective of the clubs’ chances next season.
