The night’s action, from the first fight to the last, will be exclusively live streamed on KommunityTV via the Cairns Post website from 6pm.
With a 7–6–1 fight record, Clarke said this fight represents more than just another bout, it symbolises unfinished business here in the Far North.
“I’ve got a fair few people here I want to eliminate before I leave for Thailand,” Clarke said.
“I’d love to get my WBC shot here first.
“The reason why I haven’t gone to Thailand yet is that I’d like to fight and get that belt first and take it over with me.”
Despite his remarkable performances and unwavering attitude in 2023, including an impressive win streak, Clarke found himself grappling with the sting of a championship belt loss to Matty Clark in a tight points decision in September 2023. However, rather than succumbing to defeat, he has used it as fuel to stoke the fires of his determination.
Focused on evasion, movement, and footwork during his fight camp, Clarke is a fighter who prides himself on maintaining a big, strong tank capable of going the distance.
What sets Clarke apart is his entertaining style. A cunning risk-taker in the ring who aims to please the crowd above all else. Whether victorious or not, his goal is to leave spectators on their feet, cheering for more.
Having been awarded an all-expenses-paid scholarship for his outstanding attributes as a martial artist in 2023, Clarke plans to immerse himself in the heart of Muay Thai’s homeland for a three-month hiatus. His goal? To refine his skills, embrace the culture, and return as a force to be reckoned with.
Clarke said he is ready to disappear to the land where Muay Thai reigns supreme, once he cracks through his hit list.
“I’ll literally just disappear to Thailand, fight as much as I can and make a good name for myself,” he said.
“Muay Thai is basically a religion over there.
“I’m very Western style, especially in my fighting, my hands.
“Thailand, I think it would be the best of both worlds. If I can bring that Thai style into my game, it would send me through to the top.”
As he steps into the ring once again, the Far North will bear witness to a fighter with boundless potential and a score to settle.
