VAFA 2025 live stream: Beaumaris v West Brunswick, Premier Women’s Round 10

Full of confidence after three straight wins, West Brunswick will be hoping to make it four when they face Beaumaris in VAFA Premier Women’s action on Saturday. Watch it LIVE here.

If recent form is anything to go by, West Brunswick’s women’s team are starting to hit their peak under coach Ryan Wandel.

Three straight wins have lifted the Magpies into fourth position on the ladder under the first-year mentor who crossed from Coburg at the start of the season.

They’ll now face Beaumaris as they look to strengthen their place in the top-four with the game set to be streamed live and exclusive on KommunityTV.

Both the women’s reserves and premier division matches will be available from 11.55am.

Wandel said he was pleased with the offensive growth of his side in particular across the last three games.

“Our defence has been really good all year at limiting opposition opportunities,” he said.

“We had been getting the ball forward enough but we just hadn’t been able to put it on the scoreboard. That’s something which has changed in the last few weeks.

“There was a period of adjustment with so many new players and a new game plan but I think we’ve shown a lot of improvement.”

Such has been the strong form of the Magpies this season, five players have been selected in the initial Big V women’s squad to take on the Perth Football League.

Georgia Alomes, Vic Holt, Sarah Jolly, Sophie Stewart and Taylah Watson are all in contention.

Alomes, who is on Port Melbourne’s VFLW list, and Jolly are dreaming of their first Big V guernseys.

“It’s exciting to see them recognised,” Wandel said.

“Georgia has been brilliant when she’s been available for us and kicked two crucial goals against Kew last weekend.”

Wandel is a current player for West Brunswick’s men’s program, pulling on the boots when time allows.

He said he took on the coaching role as a way of giving back.

“I’ve been here for several years now as a player after moving from Albury-Wodonga when I started uni,” he said.

“I had one training session and nerve left. I’ve tried to bring a positive and upbeat attitude to the role.

“I’m a competitor who just loves sport.”
