BEST BET
SALUTED (Race 1 No.4): Burned up the track at the trials before holding them at bay at Pakenham on debut over 1000m. Has the pace to offset the wide draw and the drop back to 1000m should only advantage her.

NEXT BEST
STAGE ‘N’ SCREEN (Race 7 No.7): Forgive last start when pulled up lame. She was tested at Group 1 level last preparation and wasn’t disgraced and now carries just 51kg with the claim from Luke Cartwright.
RAVALLI (Race 6 No.5): Former Singapore galloper has looked good at the jumpouts ahead of this first-up assignment. Should find a spot close to the pace and be hard to hold out.

VALUE BET
MUKTAMIL (Race 8 No.8): Import who improved sharply to win at Ballarat second-up. This is harder but he’ll improve further third-up and he won’t be too far back in the running.
